Own business: juice production

The popularity of freshly squeezed juices is only growing every year. This is largely due to the low quality of juices on store shelves. The buyer is willing to pay more for the best quality.

The raw materials for production are quite cheap, and the juices themselves are sold with a wrap of 100%. That is why fresh juices are a very profitable business as a business.

Fresh juice is a source of vitamins in winter, and in summer it is also a delicious refreshing drink. The consumers of these products are mainly athletes, adherents of a healthy lifestyle and mothers with children. Many can organize a small production of juices, since it does not require serious initial investments. You will need:

  • come up with a range of juices for bottling;
  • purchase the necessary equipment;
  • conduct an advertising campaign;
  • purchase ingredients for juice production;
  • hire a seller;
  • choose a suitable place to sell products;
  • register your "business" and obtain permits.

Product range

The assortment of offered juices is one of the most important components on which your business will be built. Fresh juices, in particular citrus fruits, are the most popular. It should be understood that people are different in different cities, and their tastes, accordingly, are also different.

But don't build your business on citrus juices alone. Milkshakes and vegetable juices can be a great addition to them. They not only diversify the assortment, but also attract additional customers. Some consumers value mobility, so it is advisable to sell juices not only in cups, but also in bottles.

At the same time, do not make too large a range of juices, as many products spoil quickly, especially in summer. This in turn will lead to losses. Therefore, unclaimed juices should be removed from the market, and the best-selling ones should be kept. For example, if freshly squeezed carrot juice is rarely bought, and the raw materials deteriorate, then it is worth excluding it from the assortment.

Sometimes, especially on hot days, queues can form. To avoid them, you should prepare and bottle the juice in advance. Its quantity should be regulated so that it does not stagnate on the counter and quickly sell out.

For the effective operation of a retail outlet selling fresh juices, certain equipment is required, among which:

  • sink (5,000 - 20,000 rubles);
  • bar and chairs (10,000-25,000 rubles);
  • universal juicer (6,000-25,000 rubles);
  • citrus juicer (5,000-20,000 rubles);
  • ice maker (10,000-20,000 rubles .);
  • refrigerating chamber (5,000-18,000 rubles);
  • equipment for cleaning raw materials (3,000-7,000 rubles).

Own business: juice production

Juice production line can be very profitable with the right business organization. This drink is in rather high demand, and not necessarily, only in summer, juices are drunk with great pleasure all year round. So, many people will prefer to see juice on their festive table at any time of the year, rather than mineral drinks with dyes.

Premises for organizing production

The premises where you plan to organize your business must have enough space for at least one purchase of one juice production line. In addition, it is necessary to take care of the space where raw materials will be stored, where the finished product warehouse will be located, as well as household premises. If you want to save money, then the office can be located on the territory of the plant.

It is more profitable to locate production outside the city limits and there are several good reasons for this. Firstly, you can significantly save on rent, and secondly, housing and communal services tariffs will accordingly be lower (and this is important, since you will have to consume a large amount of water). As for the area of the room, then for a start you can stop at 150 m 2.

Required equipment

If you decide to purchase a juice production line, its price will vary from 2 to 6 million rubles. Basically, the cost depends on the country of manufacture, service life and year of manufacture (in the event that you purchase used equipment). Naturally, before buying, you should do a market analysis of the manufacturers of the relevant equipment in order to have an idea of the manufacturers.

Juice production lines consist of the following equipment:

Water treatment systems (includes several filters for water purification).

If you decide to acquire used equipment, then the price of such a juice production line will be much cheaper. However, before purchasing it, it is necessary to consult with specialists, since it often happens that it will take you exactly as much money to repair and debug the old line as the difference between the new and old equipment.

Juice types and technologies for its production

Based on what raw materials will be used on the production line, juices are divided into:

  • fruit ;
  • vegetable ;
  • fruit and vegetable ;
  • vegetable and fruit.

Juice, which is made from one type of fruit, is called a monosock (ordinary) juice, and from several - blended (mixed).

The popularity of freshly squeezed juices is growing every year. This is largely due to the low quality of juices on store shelves. The buyer is ready to pay more for the best quality. The raw materials for production are quite cheap, and the juices themselves are sold with a 100% wrap. That is why fresh juices are a very profitable business as a business.

Investments: from 3 800 000 rubles

Payback: from 2 months

If you are considering getting into juice production, you have two options. The first is to open a mini-cafe that sells fresh juices and takeaway smoothies. The second is to purchase a line for the production of reconstituted juice and produce it. Consider the second option for business development: what costs are ahead, how to avoid possible risks, and how much you can earn on a tasty drink.

Business Concept

Although now there is a slight decrease in demand for packaged juices due to an excess of brands on the market and interest in other soft drinks, it is quite possible to find your niche and make a profit. It is considered especially advantageous to make not identical to natural juice, but nectars, where most of it is water. Its percentage can go up to 90!

Juices that are as close to natural as possible, of course, are in great demand, but the cost of raw materials is high, and the difference with the selling price of the finished drink is small.

You need to negotiate with small shops and cafes to sell your own products, since this niche in supermarkets has been occupied by large holdings. It makes sense to spend heavily on advertising if you have a large production. So the site and personal contracts are enough.

Implementation Requirements

To organize the production of such products, you will need:

  • suitable premises;
  • raw materials;
  • equipment;
  • packaging.

The premises can be rented, but it must comply with sanitary and hygienic and fire safety standards for the manufacture of food products. Its area is calculated to fit the juice production line and packaging equipment. A storage room is also required.

Thinking about a promising business? Juice production is not easy, but even a mini-factory can generate a good income. And the business can always be scaled.

Below is a description of how to open a juice production plant, how to properly equip it and establish stable sales.

When choosing between registration of an individual entrepreneur and an LLC, you should give preference to LLC. This will give the company a name and establish cooperation with suppliers and distributors. We choose OKVED 15. 2 "Production of fruit and vegetable juices".

We register a trademark with Rospatent. The company will not be able to start work without permission from Rospozhnadzor and the conclusion of SES. It is imperative to comply with the requirements of GOST R 53137-2021.

All documents will cost approximately $ 2500.

The total area of the premises must be at least 200 square meters. Of these, 150 are allocated for the workshop, the rest of the area is for warehouses and administrative premises.

The plant must meet the requirements:

  • Ventilation, water supply, sewerage, heating;
  • Power grid 380 V;
  • Ceiling height from three meters;
  • Compliance with the rules of the fire regime: the presence of an alarm, fire extinguishers, an evacuation plan.

Renting a room costs about $ 1,500 a month, repairs and preparation for work - $ 1,000-1200

The concept of the project provides for the creation of a juice production line. The main types of juice produced by the workshop will be vegetable and fruit juices.

Objectives of the enterprise

Goal Achievement Plan

When choosing this type of product, the company was guided by relatively low prices for raw materials.

Juices can be classified according to different criteria; the present study was based on the following (most common) classification.

Juice classification

Consumers' favorite juice tastes, as shown by our survey:

  • Apricot - 14.6%,
  • Orange - 14.5%,
  • Apple - 12.69%,
  • Peach - 11.9%,
  • Multivitamin - 8.98%,
  • Tomato - 7.5%.

In the structure of consumption, these types of juices account for more than 70% of the total amount of juices. It is obvious that the overwhelming majority of consumers prefer fruit juices. Vegetable juices made from carrots, beets, paprika and other vegetables, which are fashionable in Europe today, have not yet found a response in the hearts of domestic consumers. In defense of these juices, it must be said that there are not many offers for them either. Only a few manufacturers offer mixed-flavored juices that include vegetables.

Juice production technology

Preparation of raw materials. From the orchards, the fruits are delivered by road to the plant and go to bunkers with a total volume of 500 tons. Acceptance of apples is carried out separately according to varieties: green and mixed varieties. (Directly pressed apple juice is made from a mixture of different varieties, but these are always apples not lower than the first quality grade).

All raw materials undergo multi-stage washing. Damaged and substandard fruits, twigs and leaves are removed by hand. For a better juice yield, the fruits are crushed. The resulting mass (pulp), consisting of particles with a size of 2-5 mm, goes to pressing.

Pressing. Directly squeezed juice after clarification will go straight to bottling, and for the production of concentrated juices, the key stage is passing through a three-stage vacuum evaporator.
